“This completes the Light Trio: "LIGHT OUT OF DARKNESS: REFLECTIONS FOR THE LAST CENTURY,” “DEEP IN THE SHALLOW, PROFOUND IN THE SUPERFICIAL,” & “LIFE LETTERS.” If you have not yet bought the previous two books, I recommend you read them first, but it is fine if you wanna start with this one as well. This particular book is just a collection of the whole literature section and some important excerpts from the previous volume: “DEEP IN THE SHALLOW, PROFOUND IN THE SUPERFICIAL.”
New poems, topics, data, and information have been briefly added, updated, compiled, and expanded here to complete the journey of the soul. This whole book, in contrast to the first two, now combines the literary, emotional, mental, and informative side. It is data-driven and also emotion-driven, the heart and the mind together.
The soul only longs for the creator and the savior of mankind. The soul longs for the truth and the love of all things and the Creator it serves. The soul is empty and incomplete without his special friend, the soul is worthless without his special brother, and the soul is lost without his special Heavenly Father.
As emphasized: Be informed beforehand that this book is from the depths of the soul, the soul that has gone through both positive and negative relievers, the soul that has been decreased due to its inability to continue living, the soul that has supposedly lost the favor of its creator. The soul should have been lost a long time ago, it should have died a long time ago. The soul, a sinner saved by grace, decides to share these forms of humiliation and failure in a form of writing, a collection that was produced by its wilderness, emptiness, depletion, and toxic seasons, a collection that manifests the defeats and the realities of the flesh, a collection that produces victory and light out of the depths of failures and darkness.
In every good, there is always evil. In every peace, there is always depression. In every joy, there is always anger. In every contentment, there is always envy and discontentment. In every success, there is always shame and failures. In all light, there is always darkness. God is always the perfect judge and discerner of hearts. He longs for the heart, nothing else.
The only way out of this cycle is by surrendering to Jesus and allowing Him to transform you from the inside-out. It is very difficult to deny one’s self, take up one’s cross, and follow Him daily, but God is extremely gracious and patient beyond human understanding, He will help you be free and find real peace in Him alone.
As you read this collection of life’s letters, may it reflect not just the suffering and the real human nature of the soul, but may it also reflect the need of JESUS CHRIST to be the centre and foundation of the soul’s life, which I believe ought to be everybody’s centre and foundation.
May Jesus be the light to you in dark places, where all other lights go out. May Jesus be the One to help you discover the depths of His heart and mind to seek truth and love for the salvation of souls and for Him alone. May Jesus help you find freedom and peace from His Word and the Holy Spirit. May you dwell in His presence all the days of your life. May Jesus use these letters in this volume to make you see the ultimate light out of darkness in the depths of the shallow and the profundity of the superficial. May Jesus be your everything!”
