Against All Odds
A self-produced pilot documentary from Paulo Joquiño, the in-house storyteller of Southeast Asia VC firm Insignia Ventures Partners and producer of regional tech podcast On Call with Insignia, Against All Odds tells the stories of five Southeast Asian entrepreneurs the VC firm has backed from day one and have seen grow into global companies and market makers and leaders. It is a look into the everyday lives, make or break moments, and resilience of the Southeast Asian entrepreneur, for innovators, investors, and business leaders around the world. It was produced as a refreshing take on entrepreneurship in a global popular culture dominated by Silicon Valley narratives.
The documentary is also accompanied by a book of the name, with each chapter diving deeper into each entrepreneur's resilience mindset, the businesses they have built with these mindsets, and how they have impacted lives and economies around Southeast Asia.
