Technology is constantly shaping the way we live our lives. Through technology, we are equipped with different modes of making life simpler, may it be through online learning or doing day-to-day tasks with ease, technology is there to help us in every step of the way.
In light of this, DSC Loyola was born through the advocacy to “uplift communities through technology.” Developer Student Clubs (DSC) Loyola is a student-led organization based in the Ateneo de Manila University. The organization is powered by Google Developers, whose objective is to empower the skills and networks of students interested in the world of development by providing access to various technologies such as Google Developer technologies. Being able to use technology with the means to help solve societal issues paved the way for DSC Loyola to come up with events and projects like Pavilion, Google Cloud Study Jams, and Tech at Home.
Now, DSC Loyola is inviting you to break boundaries with us through Tech Everywhere, a student-led online technology webinar series with the goal to enhance students’ knowledge about technology and help them make the jump with how to better understand technology around us. Through different topics like FinTech, Data Science, and Design in Tech, we believe that we can empower students to understand that technology is not just one-dimensional.
Some might beg the question, why Tech Everywhere? Tech is all around us, and we want to talk about what’s happened, what’s happening, and what’s next for us in the coming years of technological advancements. Moreover, because of the pandemic, DSC Loyola wants to give everyone the chance to participate and join us in this journey of further expanding our knowledge about technology in the different fields. Hence, this event will not be restricted to students of the Ateneo, but will be open to ALL students around the world who are passionate about technology and how it revolves around us.
