MarTech Summit: A Lesson in Endurance

A worldwide pandemic isn’t enough to halt the culmination of virtual learning, technology, and marketing. 

The name “MarTech” was built around this concept and this is something the upcoming Virtual MarTech Summit aims to achieve despite initial setbacks. Originally slated to be held in-person in Singapore on the 16th and 17th of June, it has instead been converted to an online event accessible worldwide in the face of COVID-19 related travel bans. As initially planned, the summit will be taking place over the two said dates and will span from 2 pm to 6:30 pm Singapore Standard Time. However, fret not as the original live attendance summit will still be taking place albeit on the 8th and 9th of December 2020. The event is run by the organization group BEETc., which is dedicated to bringing to life senior-level Thought Leadership all over the globe. 

In line with this overarching goal, the event will go over the four main theme tracks of Content Marketing Strategy, Digital Transformation, Data-Driven Marketing, and Customer Experience & Engagement.  Additional subtopics that will also be discussed include generating Multi-Purpose Content, a comparison of the Online Data vs. Offline Experience, Customer Loyalty and Retention, and much more. Speaking on these topics will be experts from some of the most successful companies in Southeast Asia such as Vira Douangphouxay of Lazada, Sudhir Sharma of Google One, and Wendy McEwan of Knight Frank. 

A multitude of sponsors and media partners such as Google, Tealium, ON24, and many more will also be supporting the event.

The online event will cater to more than a thousand attendees and feature more than forty speakers overall. Of course, there will also be engagement on the audience’s part: they will be able to initiate back and forth interaction between themselves and the speakers, thus utilizing the two-day event to its fullest. 

At a time when most workspaces and businesses have had no choice but to shift to a work from home set-up, the MarTech Summit aims to provide relevant insights in an evolving business landscape. Rather than postponing the event entirely, the organizers felt that moving the event online was an option that had to be utilized. 

The MarTech Summit serves as a testament to progress, a willingness to move forward and innovate in the face of necessity.
