Ateneo Mathematics Society’s Mathventure Pledge Drive 2020 – Avatar: The Last Math Pledger

It’s that time of the year again for AMS, otherwise known as the Ateneo Mathematics Society, an organization for the university’s Math majors, as well as enthusiasts, to host their Mathventure Pledge Drive (MPD). This year’s MPD titled, Mathventure Pledge Drive 2020 – Avatar: The Last Math Pledger, aims to uphold and share the organization’s desire to continue to drive education, excellence and appreciation surrounding the subject. The primary goal of this initiative is to generate funds for Mathventure, a flagship project of the organization that brings an extremely exciting, engaging and collaborative Mathematics camp for Junior Highschool Students. The individuals who pledge are entitled to Avatar-themed merchandise such as shirts, totebags, pins and stickers as tokens in return for their pledges. Tokens will be shipped for free to those who reside in the Metro.

Formerly known as the ‘Mathsaya Pledge Drive’, the organization devoted their resources to bringing a free, two (2) day educational Math camp for Public highschool Students. Today, in this year’s installation of the drive, AMS has decided to bring these two audiences together into one huge collaborative effort for the second year of the drive, called Mathventure.

This year’s pledge drive began on October 6, 2020 and will end on November 8, 2020, is spearheaded by Joyce Anne Co and Kahlil Garcia along with the Marketing and Sales Office Heads, Sophia Dizon and Cha Rev Cruz. AMS continues their unrelenting effort to push the advocacy despite the complications the pandemic has posed. Luckily, the organization has adopted an online setup which has furthered their reach far beyond the Loyola Schools Community. In what previously was a week-long ordeal has now transitioned into a month-long event currently running in the organization’s various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
