A Supply Chain Revolution: How the Circular Economy Unlocks New Value for your Business & Rewards your Customers during Circular Cities Week 2019

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — This fall, the Circular Economy Club (CEC) will celebrate its inaugural “Circular Cities Week” global event (Oct. 28-Nov. 3, 2019). The goal: to push, with a united voice, for the design and implementation of circular economy strategies in cities worldwide. This effort will coincide with the United Nations World Cities Day on Oct. 31.

The Circular Economy Club (CEC), the nonprofit international network of more than 4,500 circular economy professionals and organizations in more than 100 countries, announces their collaboration with Jeffrey Sachs Centre and Sunway University, in organising a consultative workshop entitled “A Supply Chain Revolution: How The Circular Economy Unlocks New Value for Your Business & Rewards Your Customers” on 31 October 2019 from 9:00 am to 2:15 pm. Other sponsors and partners whom we are collaborating with are Global Compact Network Malaysia, Malaysia Retail Chain Association, Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association, ASEAN Green Chamber of Commerce and Aichmi Group (a CEC member).

This knowledge transfer and consultative workshop is a strategic engagement platform to expand one’s knowledge around what circularity really means and the circular initiatives taking place globally. It is also an opportunity to socialize with other circular economy professionals and brainstorm on future projects. There will be a networking session for attendees to interact with other circular economy enthusiasts across different sectors and types of organizations. The highlight of the workshop is a facilitation session on how to complete your first Circular City Canvas for Kuala Lumpur in respective Working Groups.

The CEC ‘Circular Cities Week’ empowers circularity supporters with tools to lead circularity efforts in their region through the development of circular strategies at the local government level. It is only by setting clear objectives that we will be able to track progress and create a world with no waste.”

Anna Tari, Founder, and Chair of the Board, Circular Economy Club (CEC)

Jacqueline Chang, CEC KL Organiser said “CEC is planning a global “post-mapping week” project to share database results with the CEC audience. CEC Organisers working globally will be adding their own circular economy information on CEC’s open-source database at the CEC Website.
