Looking back at the 5-day event of Bookshelf PH at MIBF 2024, it was nothing short of magical for every book lover who attended.
Bookshelf PH's Collection for Sale
I remember walking into the Bookshelf PH booth and immediately feeling drawn to the vast collection they had on display. From timeless classics to the latest reads, they really had something for everyone. It was a haven for book lovers, no matter what genre you were into, and I found myself spending quite a bit of time just browsing through all the titles.
MIBF Entrance at SMX Convention Center
The moment I stepped into SMX Convention Center, the excitement in the air was undeniable. The place was packed with fellow book enthusiasts, and it was amazing to see thousands of people who were just as eager as I was to dive into this year’s Manila International Book Fair. The buzz of conversations, the sight of people clutching their new books—it was such a lively and thrilling atmosphere.
One of the best parts of the event for me was visiting the "booX that leave a mark" booth (2-71), where Bookshelf PH was featured alongside other independent publishers. The variety of books was impressive, ranging from fiction to nonfiction, and I loved how it felt like a treasure hunt, discovering all these new and diverse works. The booth itself was always packed, and many attended the Bookshelf PH book signing event.
Friday, September 13, 2024 – Author Book Signing
Friday evening was definitely a highlight for me. I had the chance to attend the book signing of Sari-sari Stories, with Miss Cheenee, Miss Hadlee, and Mr. Hezekia. The line was long, but the excitement was contagious. I could see how much the fans admired these writers, and when I finally got to meet them, their warmth and passion for storytelling shone through. It was a surreal moment, holding a signed copy of their book in my hands.
Saturday, September 14, 2024 – Book Signing with Miss Nikki
The next day was just as thrilling. Attendees of Miss Nikki's book signing for Adventures with Damgo were excited to participate in the book signing event. She took the stage from 2-3 PM, and it was incredible to see how much energy and enthusiasm she brought to the crowd. I could tell she was truly passionate about her work, and her interaction with the audience was inspiring. Afterward, she then held the book signing at the booX Booth, some of the audience are her family, some are those who heard about the project and the story behind the book she wrote.

The event wrapped up with smiles, laughter, and plenty of new books! This year’s Manila International Book Fair was a true celebration of stories and connections. From meeting favorite authors to discovering new books, every moment became a cherished memory.
